EFTPOS terminals for taxi drivers
Every fare, paid in the cab.
Taxi Transact supplies the EFTPOS machine and the account behind it. Card, docket and statement, all in the vehicle. For taxi drivers, and nobody else.
The machine
Built for a cab, not a counter.
Keypad, card reader and printer in one unit. Take the payment, print the docket, hand it over.
Try it: enter a fare, press ENTER, present the card.

How a fare is paid
Four things happen between the door opening and the money landing.
- 01
The card is presented
On the terminal in the vehicle, before the passenger gets out.
- 02
It is authorised
Sent over mobile internet. The card issuer's answer comes back to the screen.
- 03
The docket prints
On the spot. Any transaction from the shift can be reprinted later.
- 04
It settles and is recorded
Through the account. The live statement updates.
The account
One account, behind every fare.
Terminal
What the unit does in the cab.
Records
What can be printed or read again.
Money and reporting
What the account settles and reports.
Bookings, jobs offload and intra-communication also run on the platform. They sit beside your dispatch. They do not replace it.
